Crescent cheese danishes



Croissants serve as a starting point for these plump, homemade Danish topped with cream cheese.



* Ingredients:


° 1 pkg cream cheese, softened

° 1/2 t. sugar

° 1 C. lemon juice

° 2 boxes of Pillsbury croissants *

° 4 tbsp. 1/2 teaspoon fruit jelly or jam

° 1/2 t. icing sugar

° 1 C. tsp (vanilla

° 2 to 3 tbsp. milk


* Steps :



STEP 1 - Preheat the oven at 180 ° C . In a little bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar also lemon juice until smooth. Detach  dough into 7 rectangles; pressure punching to seal them .


 Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture on each rectangle. Roller up every rectangle, beginning from long edge; firmly pinch edges and ends to seal them. Gently stretch each roll to measure approximately 10 inches. On a large ungreased cookie sheet, spiral each roll, folded inward, tipping end from below. Form a deep recess in the center of each roll; Fill it with 1/2 teaspoon of jelly or jam.


Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dark golden brown is achieved. In a small bowl, combine the frosting ingredients and add enough milk to achieve the desired consistency. Pour over the still hot croissants.
