Mexican Restaurant Style White Cheese (Queso) Dip

My son had this sauce at a restaurant recently. I was looking for a white queso recipe it's one of my favs and this is it!! Came out perfect!!!

- 1 pound of American cheese, white and deli-sliced
- ⅔ cup of milk or half-and-half
- 3-4 tablespoons of green chiles or jalepenos, canned and chopped
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- optional; 1 teaspoon of chipotle powder

1. You should turn on to the lowest setting when using a slow cooker then dump everything in, heat, stirring until thickened.
2. If using a double boiler, heat the milk, chopped chiles and spices. Gradually add in the American cheese, 1-2 slices at a time, and be sure to stir until fully melted and incorporated together.
