MILLION DOLLAR CAKE

 



A fine, creamy, smooth texture with a classic vanilla taste is the Million Dollar Pound Cake. For a cause, it's a classic and after one taste you'll appreciate the title 'million dollars'! A crowd-pleaser is still the cake recipe!!

LIST OF THE INGREDIENTS: 

+ 2 cans drained mandarin oranges.

+ 1 can crush pineapple with juice.

+ 1 container frozen whipped topping.

+ 1 large PKG of yellow cake mix.

+ 1 PKG OF instant vanilla pudding mix.

+ 1 cup and half of the confectioners" sugar.

+ 1 cup of cream cheese.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

+ STEP I: Prepare and bake the cake mix in two small (9 inches) round pans according to box directions. Let the layers cool down, then divide each layer in half so that 4 layers are usable. 

+ STEP II: Whip the cream cheese in a deep bowl until fluffy, and then gently add in the sugar. Pour in the pineapple juice and the drained mandarin oranges and reserve about 5 mandarin orange slices to decorate the top of the cake. 

+ STEP III: Mix with the combination of the dried pudding. Fold the whipped topping in. 

+ STEP IV: Place one layer of cake on a side-cut cake plate, and spread it with frosting. On the first one, add another layer cut side down and cover with more frosting. 

+ STEP V: Repeat until both layers are used on top and sides of the cake, adding the last bit of frosting. Decorate with the 5 remaining orange slices mandarin.  

+ STEP VI: Place the cake in the fridge for at least 5 hours before serving, or keep it in overnight, you'll have a better result.
