Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce!


Just as Granny did it you're going to enjoy this  Old Fashioned Pudding! This warm and cozy recipe is better served with your favorite vanilla ice cream brand at any time of year. This recipe is the best way to finish a meal, packed with soft vanilla, raisins, and sugar.  

• THE LIST OF ALL INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED TO PREPARE THE PUDDING:


- 4 c.Of white bread, cubed.

- 1/2 c.Of raisins.

- 2 c.Of whole milk.

- 1/4 c.Of softened butter.

- 1/2 c.Of sugar.

- 2 beaten eggs.

- 1 T.Of vanilla extract.

- 1/2 t.Of ground nutmeg.


• THE SAUCE INGREDIENTS:


- 1/2 c.Of softened butter.

- 1/2 c.Of sugar.

- 1/2 c.Of packed brown sugar.

- 1/2 c.Of heavy whipping cream.

- 1 T.Of vanilla extract. 


• Pudding instructions: 


-1-Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the bread in a large bowl with the raisins. 

-2-In a 1-quart saucepan, just combine the milk and 1/4 cup of softened butter. 

-3-Cook until the butter is melted, over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes. 

-4-Pour the mixture of milk over the bread, and let stand for 10 minutes. 

-5-Stir together all the remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased casserole. Bake for around 40 to 50 minutes or until the center is baked. 

• Sauce instructions: 


-1-In a 1-quart pan, combine all the sauce ingredients except vanilla. -7-Simmer over medium heat, stirring regularly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a full boil for 8 minutes. 

-2-Stir the vanilla in. Spoon hot pudding into individual dessert dishes to eat, and serve with sauce. 

-3-Put it in the fridge if you want to store it.
