7 Uses for Baking Soda That You Probably Didn't Know




In addition to the use of baking soda in the pastry industry, and its great benefit in making the dough work, there are several uses that you may not know of baking soda, including health and home, and the uses of baking soda:



You should know that chemical products for hair such as shampoos and creams build up in your hair, making it sticky and weak. Here comes one of the uses of baking soda: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda into your shampoo bottle.  You will find it brighter and more fluid.


2- Substitute for shampoo when needed


On hot summer days when your hair is greasy, you need to look elegant in a short time without the need to wash it with shampoo several times, so spray a little baking soda on the roots of your hair, rub it, and then comb it with a brush.


3- Clean the hairbrush


Have you thought about taking a closer look at your hairbrush? If you do, you will be amazed at what you see. Instead of throwing it in the trash, clean it up by soaking it in a tub of warm water with one teaspoon of baking soda for 20 minutes. Rinse it, then let it dry on a towel before use.


4- Peel off face mask


There is a safe and easy-to-use alternative to chemical face peeling products that no one knows of their harmful side effects: Make your own peeling mask at home, just scrub your face with baking soda. 3 tsps baking soda with 1 tsp water. Apply mask to your face with a gentle circular motion, and wash it off with warm water.

If you allow dry dead cells to build up on your skin, it will look dull and pale. Keep skin cells renewed and rejuvenated by exfoliating once a week . Make your own by baking soda using the same method for your face scrub: 1 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda.


6- Deodorant


If you have sensitive skin, one of the most important uses of baking soda is as a substitute for deodorant. Baking soda balances acids and bases, so it eliminates odors. Plus, it won't leave a mark on your clothes like many antiperspirants do.


7- Foot care


You can make a better home pedicure by putting your feet in a solution of three tablespoons of baking soda to one tablespoon of warm water. Leave your feet in the solution for 10 minutes, then apply a moisturizing cream to the legs and feet. Wrap them in a warm towel, and leave them for 5-10 minutes. Then you will have smoother legs and feet.
