Smoked Sausage Oven Roast And Potatoes - An
easy meal of saj with smoked sausage (my favorite), potatoes and onions - your
whole family will love!
This recipe was created back in 2014. When
I shared it on my Facebook page, it garnered over 600,000 views, 20,000 posts,
and over 100 comments. I can't take all the credit for this, I found it on the
Big Blue Binder's recipe page and I'm still making it today. The paper meals
are the best and they are very easy. It remains one of my favorite recipes
today. This recipe has been adapted and made suitable for the WW Diet. The
original recipe required 1 can of smoked sausage, 5 medium grains, and 2
tablespoons of olive oil in case people were looking for the old recipe.
Reasons why I love this meal :
Smoked Sausage - If you have never smoked
sausage (of any kind) made by a butcher then you are missing it. The taste and
flavor of the smoked sausage is exceptional.
Onions - When roasting onions in the oven
it turns out almost like the caramelized onions you'd make in a skillet. These
three ingredients are just so simple and make for one delicious dish.
* Ingredients :
° Smoked Sausage: 1 package (cut into
slices)
° Onion: 1 (large, peeled and chopped)
° Potatoes: 5 (large, peeled and cut into
1/2 inch cubes)
° olive oil
° Sea salt is fine
° Freshly ground black pepper
° Sweet red pepper
° Dried thyme
° Great strong cheddar cheese: a handful
* Steps to take:
Step 1:
To start, make sure you line a large baking
tray (with sides) with several sheets of tin foil. Directly spraying with
cooking spray also set aside.
Step 2:
Then we choose a large bowl and put it in
the sausages, onions and potatoes. Please sprinkle a few tablespoons of olive
oil and season it to taste with salt, pepper, paprika and dried thyme, and make
sure to stir it with your hands until everything is evenly distributed. Once
done, pour this mixture onto the baking tray and spread it out as much as possible.
Step 3:
Well now, you'll want to put them in the
hot oven and roast them To potatoes Are golden also tender, stirring every 15
minutes or so, about 45 minutes to an hour. Turn off the oven immediately.
The fourth step:
Finally, simply spread the cheese over the
cooked meat and potatoes, then transfer it to the oven for a few minutes to
melt the cheese.
Enjoy !
