*Gas VS Electric Stove: Which Is Better for Home Cooks ?*

First, it's important to break down what defines the two categories and how they work.
An electric range runs on household power, plugging into a wall outlet like any other major appliance. You will usually need a 250V outlet instead of the standard 120V outlet, and most homes have such an outlet in the kitchen.
A gas stove, on the other hand, needs an existing natural gas line or propane fitting in the house to work. However, gas stoves are usually equipped with an electric ignition system, which means that in the event of a power failure, the stove will not ignite. In theory, however, you can light the burner with a match if necessary. They use the same gas that is also used to heat your home. It is important with both types of stoves to ensure good ventilation, but this is even more true for gas stoves.
You can get both types as a freestanding or built-in unit, depending on your kitchen design and where you want to install it. Appliance cost is similar for both gas and electric stoves, although factors like brand and other features mean they both come in a wide price range.
It is worth mentioning that there is a third category (and this is the one I own): dual fuel stoves. These have a gas hob and an electric oven, offering the best of both worlds.
Advantages of electric stoves
There are several reasons to opt for an electric stove over a gas stove.
