Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) standard / 160°C (320°F) fan mode. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the sheets with parchment paper or butter.
In mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt & sugar. Add the chopped apple and stir lightly to combine.
In another bowl, add the eggs, vanilla, oil and yogurt. Beat only briefly to break up the yolk.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently with a wooden spoon until combined, but be careful not to over mix. Pour the mixture into a prepared container.
To make cinnamon glaze, combine cinnamon, sugar and butter. Mix until they form lumps and are moist. Sprinkle over cake mix.
Bake the cake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfering cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
To make the frosting, mix the sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk. Stir until smooth. If the frosting is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk. Spread a layer of frosting over the entire cake.
